My Story
I build what I want to play — and tools that help others ship.
I am a developer and artist focused on games and software. Online I go by Auguste. I write systems, design interfaces, create art, and ship work people can play, download, and build with.
My work sits at the intersection of craft and engineering: playable games with original visuals, and software tools shaped by real production needs. I care about clear scopes, reliable delivery, and work that holds up after launch.
Whether you find me as Auguste or James Raphael Ibay, commissioning custom work means the same thing: organized communication, production focus, and a process built for trust.

Experience
2023 — Present
Developer & Artist — Independent
I design, art, and ship games and software under my own name. Free releases live on itch.io. I take select commissions for studios and indie teams.
2022 — Present
Contract Developer / Artist — Client Studios & Indie Teams
I support vertical slices, art passes, and tooling work under clear scopes — playable builds, documented handoffs, and no open-ended drift.
Ongoing
Designer, Artist, Programmer — Personal Productions
I use my own titles and tools as a proving ground for pipelines, art direction, and release discipline before applying the same standards to client work.
Why clients trust the process
I write scopes down. I show progress at milestones. Free itch.io downloads are separate from commission payment (agreed after scope). Legal pages cover terms, privacy, and licenses so expectations are visible before we start.
